Simply beautiful birds, and the sound of a loon is the sound of a healthy lake.
Yes, they are and have such an eerie sound and I didn’t know that meant it was a healthy lake, kind of like the presence of the River Otters near Belle Isle means the Detroit River is in good shape as well.
