Dequindre Cut; long view, photo by btezra.
btezra lives in Pittsburgh, and it’s always a treat when he brings his camera to Michigan. The above photo is one of many by a group of photographers who took photos…
Along the Dequindre Cut in Detroit, MI. Taken on a day when a group of us Flickr folk from East Lansing – Detroit – Pittsburgh – New York got together under the guise and direction of Bobby Alcott.
The skies made a huge difference this past Saturday, it’s hard to muck up an exposure when the sunshine is abundant and the skies are clear.
The Dequindre Cut is quite a sight to see in person, urban decay mixed in with the hope and promise of development and a place for the city to cherish and enjoy. Graffiti is everywhere; the vibrant colors enhance the experience while there. I hope to make it back sometime soon.

~I appreciate the kudos here being blogged by ya…I enjoyed my time in Detroit, MI, and I am making plans to head back that way later in July. Detroit was very remindful of Pittsburgh…I look forward to making my way back with the camera in hand~
