Three winters ago, Paul shared the bobcat pic that is the first of the collection of his trail cam photos below. In the intervening years he has created some amazing documentation of wildlife activity on his land near Clare. Follow him on Flickr for the latest & check out his yearly Trail Cam albums!!

Wow – I had no idea we had Bobcats in Michigan … the type used in construction maybe, but not the real deal. :)

Oh yeah! I think it was in the winter of 21 when I was up in Leelanau in a raging blizzard that TWO adult bobcats spooked and ran in front of my car. I was only going 25 or so because it was crazy out, and these two both ran in front of me. They are SO muscular – the equipment is well named!!

Interesting! I had no idea we had them here in this state. Many years ago I worked at Young & Rubicam and we had the Lincoln-Mercury account and for a promotion in 1979, the Lincoln-Mercury Cougar (Tom-Tom) and the Mercury Bobcat (whose name escapes me now), along with their handlers, paid a visit to our office. It was fun to see them. The handlers were posing them with the CEO and head of the Creative Department and they did a walkaround both floors of the office.

Heh. Was it this cougar? 😅 One of my parent’s best friends was one of primary photographers for the Big 3 dealership posters in the 70s. My siblings & his kids are in a ton of them!!
