Crocuses by Brooke Pennington
You might think that after thousands of years of coming up too soon and getting frozen, the crocus family would have had a little sense knocked into it.
-Robert Benchley
With a cold weekend ahead, I can’t help think about the bold crocuses. Stay warm, my purple pals!!
I’ve shared this stunning shot by Brooke before, and when it came up in my memories I had to share it again! More from Brooke on Flickr.

Concerned about our Canada geese and spring robins as they migrated back to my province and we just got hit with a Colorado Low and highly unseasonal and unusual January-like bout of ice, snow and frigid temps 🥶

That’s a great quote about the crocuses! The snowdrops here in Wayne County were up several months ago and hanging in there, despite snow, ice, lots of rain and how about the wind these days? Another assisted vehicle trip for some vehicles across the Mighty Mac again today.
