Construction Zone by David Bowers
The roads aren’t the only place you’ll find construction projects in Michigan these days!
David got this cool shot of a heron returning to the rookery with a stick for the nest a couple days ago. See more in his Great Blue Herons gallery on Flickr & check out more pics on his Facebook.

Great shot David – it always looks funny how their legs dangle down when descending. They are such gangly looking birds then, yet so streamlined in flight.

Indeed! This pic I shared years ago by Rodney Campbell cracks me up every time I see it!

Sometimes a GBH looks prehistoric like a Pterodactyl, doesn’t it? I like that photo by Rodney Campbell – it’s like the poor bird is confused and doesn’t know whether it should fly or land. I like Rodney Campbell’s bird photos and used to follow him on Flickr as I sometimes used his bird photos in my blog (with permission/attribution) before I started taking my own pictures.

It does! Rodney is great. Featured his pics for years & found out that he worked at the same law firm as my sister!
