Michigan in Pictures 
A white-knuckle trip along that pier at any time, but especially with the waves crashing about. I’ve never seen it – is it a public pier? I went to the Grosse Ile lighthouse – it is open one day a year as it is on private property and the tour is run by the Grosse Ile Historical Society.

Yes it’s public & open for walking (except in high winds).

Good idea – I remember the young couple swept off the pier into Lake Michigan in Holland a few years ago.

Yeah definitely. There was a kid named Caleb who died after being swept off Frankfort Pier about 10 years ago too.
