Taylor North wins Little League World Series by Little League
The Freep reports that Taylor North beat an Ohio team (cherry on top!) 5-2 this weekend to take home Michigan’s first Little League championship since Hamtramck won it all in 1959. You can read on at the Freep & congratulations to Taylor!

Baseball fan that I am (as well as someone who loves a good Michigan-Ohio rivalry), I watched that game, and I was astonished. Those kids played like pros–such focus and skill! And having a Michigan team cream an Ohio team was also fun, since UM football never does that any more. A wonderful game.
And something MLB might want to think about: The game moved along at a good clip because there were no endless waits between pitches. The catcher caught the pitch, returned it to the pitcher, the batter stepped in, the pitcher pitched. A very different rhythm from MLB games and so much better!
